I have said it many times in my videos and social media posts: the word “entrepreneur” is dead. Or useless, anyway. All the “wantrepreneurs” out there have seen to that.

Now you’re probably saying to yourself, how can the word “entrepreneur” be dead? Well, it’s dead because of so many people using the word for their own agendas when they are NOT, in fact, entrepreneurs themselves. They don’t have any work ethic. They don’t know what it takes to be an entrepreneur.

It drives me absolutely crazy to see photos and videos they post on social media showing their fancy watches or expensive cars or 10 of them boarding private jets and flying to Vegas. It’s all fake. It’s simply NOT that easy to succeed in real estate investing without putting in the effort.

Entrepreneurship is not about the flashy cars, the planes, the watches and the lifestyle of traveling around the world.

Entrepreneurship is about adding value to people’s lives. It is about identifying true problems and creating legitimate businesses to solve those problems. It’s about adding more people to the business, providing jobs for people. That is what entrepreneurship is about.

It’s about believing in something bigger and better than yourself. It’s about working 24/7 to achieve those goals. And that is the big difference between the “wantrepreneur” and the entrepreneur.

Entrepreneurs are the folks like myself, who are out there hustling every single day and who believe in the bigger picture and higher purpose.

As for me, I’m working toward achieving something great: I want to change the world. I want to hire on as many people as I possibly can. I love my staff. I believe in them. I want to create a company that is going to provide a better future for them and their loved ones. That is what real entrepreneurship is about.

But there is such a stigma today around the word “entrepreneur” today that it is going out of fashion. So here’s my suggestion: How about we stop using the word “entrepreneur” for everyone out there hustling every single day and instead start calling them “lifestylepreneurs.”

“Lifestylepreneur” can run their businesses from their laptops. They can run them from anywhere in the world. They have already created something that’s great. They’ve already established and marked their presence. They already hired 10 to 15 people. They’ve created systems and put procedures in place so they don’t have to be involved in the day-to-day hustle. They’ve got the right people on the ground looking after everything on their behalf. So you don’t even need to use the word entrepreneur to describe them anymore, because they are “lifestylepreneurs.”

That should be the new word, in my opinion. If you can run your business from your phone or from a keyboard anywhere in the world and you’ve got the right people on the ground who believe in the bigger picture and who are continuing to drive and grow your company, you are a “lifestylepreneur.”

That’s something to be proud of.
