Continuing Education Classes: Friday, March 28 ($10 Add-On)
Arizona Real Estate Continuing Education Requirements for Sales Licenses and Designated Broker Licenses
As of January 1, 2025, all Arizona real estate professionals must complete one hour of the following: Arizona water, deed fraud, and firewise. These classes will take place on Friday, March 28th from 10a-2p with lunch provided. Credentials for these classes can be picked up at the Think Realty event on 3/27 at the registration desk from 7am-2pm.
Deed Fraud
This one-hour course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize and prevent deed fraud. You’ll learn about the different types of deeds commonly used in Arizona, the legal requirements for valid deeds, and the roles of various parties in real estate transactions. You’ll also gain insights into the tactics used by fraudsters, the red flags to watch for, and the preventive measures that can protect your clients and your business. By the end of this course, you’ll be better prepared to safeguard against fraudulent activities and ensure the integrity of real estate transactions.
Course highlights include:
- An understanding of deed fraud and how it is carried out
- Explore the consequences of deed fraud
- Details about the deed recording process in Arizona
- Main categories of deed fraud criminals
- Protecting yourself from inadvertent involvement in deed fraud

Firewise
Given the increasing frequency and severity of wildfires, there is a growing need for proactive measures to safeguard properties and lives. This one-hour course is tailored to educate real estate licensees about the Firewise program, emphasizing the significance of exercising reasonable skill and care in real estate practices. Its goal is to update licensees on the fundamentals of the Firewise program, equipping them with the knowledge to establish defensible spaces that can better withstand wildfires and ensure the safety of firefighters working to protect properties.
Course highlights include:
- An overview of the Firewise program
- Understanding of the impact of wildfires on Arizona communities
- Factors that contribute to wildfires
- Improving wildfire survivability
- Preparing for wildfire evacuations
- What to do if evacuation is impossible
Water
Arizona’s dry climate and fast-growing population make water a crucial and often disputed resource. Real estate professionals in Arizona should have a deep understanding of water resources, rights, and regulations to advise their clients effectively in property transactions and on water-related matters.
This one-hour course enables you to understand water management laws and policies, helping you stay updated with regulations. It also allows you to educate clients about the importance of water conservation, the impact of water availability, and how water availability can affect property ownership and use.
Course highlights include:
- An overview of the 1980 Arizona Groundwater Management Act
- Understanding of the roles of Active Management Areas and Irrigation Non-Expansion Areas
- Outlines the purpose of the Assured and Adequate Water Supply programs
