The news just keeps getting better for Denver and real estate investors. The latest story from the Denver Post  from a report by Metrolist shows single-family home sales in metro Denver last year beat a record set during the housing boom. There were 42,762 single family homes sold last year, compared to the record 41,682 set in 2004.

Real estate investors know jobs are a key to a healthy investing environment and Denver is near the top in that category as well.

Nerdwallet says Denver is the fourth-best city in the United States for job seekers, citing the city’s aerospace and manufacturing industries, according to a story in the Denver Post.

The criteria used for determining the best cities for job seekers were:

• Are jobs available?

• Is the city growing?

• Can you afford to live there?

Austin, Texas, ranked first, followed by Washington, D.C., and Fort Worth, Texas.
