According to Forbes, even though Millennials, as a generation, tend to be somewhat ambivalent to homeownership, they overwhelmingly view real estate as a good investment. In fact, more Millennials chose real estate as the best-performing investment since 2000 (which it is) than any other generation. Will Millennials continue to choose to rent personally, but own rental property portfolios?
I was just talking to my wife about this just the other day. We have three customers that are investors in real estate and are also Millennials and they rent for their own personal residence. So far I will have to say I think they will continue to rent.
