HomeVestors passes 60,000 home purchase milestone in 2014HomeVestors continued as the leader in home buying in the U.S.,  passing the milestone of 60,000 homes purchased since the company was founded, according to a release.

The company also reported a surge in new company franchisees during 2014 passing the mark of more than 500 in 41 states.

Co-Presidents David Hicks and Ken Channell said in the release that the company  will announce which of its independently owned and operated franchises purchased house number 60,000. Franchisee growth rose by more than 30 percent during the past 11 months.

“This is the best year yet for us in our history in terms of adding new franchisees,” Hicks said in the release. “It supports our viewpoint that the residential real estate market represents one of the best long-term investments available.”

“With 2014 being the 18th anniversary of HomeVestors, it’s particularly affirming to have reached the 60,000 houses milestone,” Channell said in the release. “For the past 18 years, our franchisees have dramatically changed the landscape of residential real estate by transforming ‘ugly’ houses in need of repairs into beautiful homes that people are proud to own. Our outlook for 2015 also is very positive and aggressive.”

HomeVestors is the number one buyer of houses in the U.S. The first franchise company of its kind, HomeVestors has been franchising since 1996. HomeVestors currently has more than 500 independently owned and operated franchises in 41 states, according to the release. Franchisees are authorized to use the WE BUY UGLY HOUSES® and HOMEVESTORS® trademarks in connection with their franchised business. Use of such trademarks by unauthorized third parties, however, is prohibited.
